About
Ioana Tater is a multidisciplinary artist, working primarily with fibers, biocomposites, and natural dyes. She holds a BFA from Concordia University and a technical diploma in Wildlife Management from Cégep Saint-Laurent. Her work is research-based and primarily focused on land stewardship and spiritual connections to the Earth, with a strict attempt to establish coherence between the themes and the material process.
Her early career has consisted of ecological heritage explorations in Romania, where she is originally from. She exhibited in Marin and Mandra, Romania in 2025. Presently she is working with hemp and innovative sustainable materials in Tiohtià:ke / Mooniyang / Montréal.
